Yet again the NHS is facing a terrible winter crisis, with hospitals across the country struggling to cope.
In the East of England routine operations are being cancelled in huge numbers, so that A&E departments can cope with enormous demand. We have NHS trusts forced to use taxis rather than ambulances to rush people to accident and emergency. Worst of all, we know this is all avoidable if our NHS was given the funding it needs.
We are calling on Jeremy Hunt and the Government to provide our NHS with the resources that they need to care for the most vulnerable, this winter, next winter, and all year round.
